Authentic Spanish Sangria

A refreshing, fruity beverage that captures the essence of Spanish culture, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 bottle Red wine
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup Brandy (optional)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons Honey/maple syrup or other sweetener (optional)
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Wash the fruits thoroughly.
  2. Cut the oranges into thin slices and chop the apple into small cubes.
  3. Transfer all the fruits into a large pitcher.
  4. Squeeze the juice of one orange into the pitcher.
  5. Add brandy for extra depth if desired.
  6. Add honey or sweetener to taste.
  7. Add the cinnamon stick.
  8. Mix well with a spoon.
  9. Pour in the bottle of red wine and stir again.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  11. Serve in tall glasses over ice, garnished with fresh fruit slices.

Notes

Sangria is best enjoyed chilled. Avoid freezing to maintain the texture and taste.
