Brimstone Cookies

Stunning deep red cookies with a unique combination of red velvet and black cocoa, perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat at home.

Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces red velvet cake mix (1 box)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup black cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone liners.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  4. Scoop about 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough and roll it into balls.
  5. Roll each ball in black cocoa powder to coat.
  6. Place dough balls on prepared baking sheets with at least 2 inches space between them.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly set but still soft inside.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, don’t overbake. Serve warm for a delightful treat.
