Homemade Candy

Easy and delightful homemade candy that’s perfect for sharing and creating sweet memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add butter and a pinch of salt, stirring continuously until melted and combined.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high and allow the mixture to boil until it reaches 250°F (121°C).
  5. Remove from heat and carefully stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the candy mixture onto the baking sheet and spread it evenly.
  7. Allow the candy to cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Can be frozen for up to three months.
