Caramelized Vanilla Iced Latte Recipe

For the caramelized sugar:

  • 2 tsp sugar

For the coffee:

  • 1 shot of espresso or 120 ml / 4 oz of brewed Colombian single roast coffee

For the main glass:

  • Ice
  • 120 ml / 4 oz milk of choice (whole milk, oat milk, almond milk, etc.)

For the vanilla cold foam:

  • 90 ml / 3 oz heavy cream or oat cream
  • 30 ml / 1 oz vanilla syrup
  • 30 ml / 1 oz milk of choice

Instructions

1. Caramelize the sugar

  1. Add 2 tsp sugar to a small pan over medium heat.
  2. Stir continuously until the sugar melts and turns a deep amber color.
  3. Once caramelized, remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.

2. Brew your coffee

While your caramel cools, brew one shot of espresso or 120 ml / 4 oz of Colombian single roast coffee.

The rich, smooth notes of Colombian beans add depth to this iced latte.

3. Prepare your glass

  1. Fill your glass with ice.
  2. Pour in 120 ml / 4 oz of your milk of choice.

4. Make the vanilla cold foam

  1. In a frothing pitcher or jar, combine:
    • 90 ml / 3 oz heavy cream (or oat cream)
    • 30 ml / 1 oz vanilla syrup
    • 30 ml / 1 oz milk of choice
  2. Froth the mixture for 1-2 minutes until it’s light, fluffy, and airy.

5. Assemble the drink

  1. Pour the brewed coffee into your prepared glass.
  2. Top with a generous layer of vanilla cold foam.
  3. Drizzle the cooled caramelized sugar over the foam.
