Cardamom-Cherry Chaos Cake Latte Easy

This whimsical, flavor-packed latte celebrates beautiful mess with layers of tart cherry compote, floral cardamom syrup, bold espresso, and a riot of whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. Inspired by the chaos cake trend, it’s a joyful treat in a cup!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cherry compote (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon rose-cardamom syrup
  • 1 shot freshly brewed espresso
  • ½ cup milk of your choice, steamed
  • Whipped cream
  • Rainbow sprinkles

Optional Homemade Cherry Compote:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Optional Rose-Cardamom Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 green cardamom pods
  • 1 tbsp dried rose petals or 1 tsp rose water

Instructions

  1. Spoon cherry compote into a clear glass, letting some drip down the sides.
  2. Drizzle rose-cardamom syrup along the inside of the glass for dramatic streaks.
  3. Pour hot espresso into the center of the glass.
  4. Add steamed milk slowly from above to create swirling layers.
  5. Top generously with whipped cream, letting it billow and spill slightly.
  6. Drizzle remaining compote and syrup over the top, then finish with rainbow sprinkles.
  7. Enjoy the flavorful chaos immediately – and don’t clean up the drips!

Notes

For extra drama, use a clear glass and serve with a side napkin for sticky fingers. Cherry compote and syrup can be made in advance and refrigerated. For a grown-up twist, add a splash of cherry liqueur. Embrace the mess – it’s part of the joy!
