Chai Kefir Smoothie

A delicious and healthy smoothie combining chai tea flavors with the tangy goodness of kefir, perfect for breakfast or a refreshing treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups plain Kefir
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Begin by steeping two chai tea bags in boiling water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Once steeped, discard the tea bags and let the chai cool down. For enhanced flavor, consider refrigerating it overnight.
  3. In a blender, combine the chilled chai with the kefir, frozen banana, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, minced ginger, and ice cubes.
  4. Blend until you have a smooth and creamy consistency.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

Serve in a tall glass with a straw, and top with extra cinnamon or whipped cream for a special treat.
