Cheesy Steak & Shrimp Skillet Bowl

A delicious and comforting meal featuring tender steak, succulent shrimp, fresh vegetables, and a creamy cheese sauce, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized strips
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tsp olive oil (for shrimp)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder (to taste)
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 large baked potato per serving (optional base)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sear the steak pieces for 1 minute on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the steak and set it aside. Cook the shrimp in the same skillet for 2–3 minutes on each side.
  4. Sauté sliced bell peppers and onions in the skillet with olive oil for 6–7 minutes, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a separate saucepan, heat heavy cream and stir in grated Parmesan cheese and seasonings until smooth.
  6. Assemble the dish by layering sautéed veggies, then steak and shrimp, drizzling cheese sauce on top.
  7. If using baked potatoes, bake at 450°F (230°C) for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, then serve topped with steak, shrimp, veggies, and cheese sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Can freeze for 2-3 months without vegetables.
