Cherries in the Snow

A light and refreshing dessert with layers of creamy cheese, fluffy whipped topping, and sweet cherry pie filling.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 pre-baked angel food cake (15 ounces), torn into pieces
  • 42 ounces cherry pie filling (2 cans)

Instructions

  1. Beat the cream cheese until completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and mix until fully blended.
  3. Pour in the whole milk and vanilla, and beat until silky.
  4. Fold in the whipped topping gently.
  5. Gently fold in the torn angel food cake pieces.
  6. Spread the creamy mixture into a 9×13 inch dish.
  7. Spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the top.
  8. Chill for at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Best served chilled on warm days. Can be topped with extra whipped topping or nuts.
