Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies with M&Ms

Delicious and easy-to-make cookies using chocolate cake mix and M&Ms, perfect for any occasion.

  • 15.25 ounces devil’s food cake mix (1 box)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups M&Ms candies

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  2. Mix well until there are no dry cake mix remnants.
  3. Fold in 2/3 of the M&Ms into the mixture.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop out 1 to 1.5 tablespoon-sized balls of dough, placing them 2 inches apart on the prepared sheets.
  8. Press a few additional M&Ms into the tops of each dough ball.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the tops are set.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  11. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Chilling the dough helps maintain the cookie shape while baking. Customize with different M&Ms or add mix-ins like chocolate chips.
