Chocolate-covered strawberries are a luxurious and simple dessert that combines juicy strawberries with smooth, rich chocolate. Perfect for special occasions or as a quick treat, they’re easy to make and customizable with various toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 medium strawberries (16 ounces)
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped finely
  • 8 ounces milk chocolate, chopped finely
  • 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped finely
  • 4 cups cool water
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • Optional toppings: Sprinkles, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, edible glitter, caramel drizzle

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Soak strawberries in a mixture of water and vinegar for 10 minutes. Rinse, pat dry thoroughly, and ensure they’re at room temperature before dipping.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: Finely chop chocolate. Melt in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  3. Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the leaves, dip into the chocolate, and let excess drip off. Place on parchment paper and add toppings while the chocolate is wet.
  4. Decorate: Use contrasting chocolate or toppings to create designs. Let the strawberries set at room temperature or refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve or Store: Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for up to 48 hours.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry to avoid chocolate clumping.
  • For a glossy finish, use high-quality chocolate.
