Chocolate Tea

A unique blend of cocoa and aromatic spices, perfect for chocolate lovers seeking a comforting drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cardamom seeds
  • 3 cloves
  • 1/2 vanilla bean
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • Sweetener of your choice (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom for topping

Instructions

  1. Roast the cocoa nibs by spreading them in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) for 10 minutes.
  2. In a pot, combine the cinnamon stick, cardamom seeds, cloves, vanilla bean, and star anise with 2 cups of boiling water. Stir gently and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the roasted cocoa nibs to the pot and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the almond milk and sweetener, if desired, and mix well.
  5. Strain the tea into cups using a sieve to remove the solids, resulting in a smooth and rich Chocolate Tea.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
