Christmas Frostbite Cocoa

A rich and creamy hot cocoa perfect for holiday gatherings, made with semi-sweet and white chocolate, and topped with whipped cream and marshmallows.

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Mini marshmallows for topping

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk until it is hot but not boiling.
  2. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and cocoa powder into the hot milk.
  3. Whisk constantly until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. If desired, add the peppermint extract and stir to mix well.
  5. Pour the cocoa into mugs for serving.
  6. Top your cocoa with whipped cream and mini marshmallows.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, consider sprinkling cocoa powder or crushed candy canes on top. Store leftover cocoa in the fridge for 2-3 days.
