Christmas Golden Star Cocoa

A festive twist on classic hot cocoa featuring rich white chocolate, caramel, and whole milk, topped with golden glitter and star-shaped decorations.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp caramel sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Gold edible glitter or gold sanding sugar
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Star-shaped sprinkles or piped whipped cream stars
  • Optional: a drizzle of caramel on top

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the milk and heavy cream until hot but not boiling.
  2. Add the white chocolate chips and whisk until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the caramel sauce and blend well. Add sugar if you want extra sweetness.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the cocoa into a mug or clear glass.
  6. Top with a crown of whipped cream. Use star-shaped piping tips if you want whipped-cream ‘stars.’
  7. Sprinkle with gold edible glitter or gold sanding sugar for a glowing golden effect.
  8. Add a final caramel drizzle if desired.

Notes

For a fun twist, add peppermint extract for a mint chocolate version or cinnamon for a spicy cocoa.
