Christmas Iced Tea

A refreshing and aromatic iced tea blend of spices and citrus, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 liter water
  • 3 black tea bags (or green tea)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise
  • 3 cloves
  • Juice of 2 oranges
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
  • Orange and lemon slices for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Heat the water until it’s just about to boil. Place the tea bags in a pitcher or teapot, and add the cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves. Pour the hot water over them and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags.
  2. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm. Squeeze the oranges and lemon, then add their juice to the spiced tea. Mix well.
  3. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for at least 1 hour to chill.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the iced tea over the top, and garnish with orange and lemon slices.

Notes

Store any leftovers in a tight-sealing container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For serving, consider adding more ice.
