Christmas Lasagna

A festive dessert with colorful layers of cream cheese, whipped topping, and peppermint, perfect for holiday celebrations.

  • 22 ounces vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • Red food coloring gel
  • 8 ounces package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 6.8 ounces cheesecake instant pudding mix
  • Green liquid food coloring
  • 8 ounces tub whipped topping
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • Christmas candies, sprinkles, or red and green M&Ms (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the vanilla wafers in a food processor and crush until you have crumbs.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with red food coloring to reach a desired color.
  3. Combine the red butter with the crumbs and press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Freeze while preparing the cheesecake layer.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Mix in sour cream, then gently fold in whipped topping.
  5. Spread cheesecake mixture onto the frozen crust and return to freezer.
  6. In another bowl, whisk heavy cream, peppermint extract, and green food coloring. Whisk in instant pudding until thick.
  7. Pour the pudding over the cheesecake layer and smooth out. Freeze for 5-10 minutes until set.
  8. Spread remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer and cover. Freeze for 30-60 minutes or refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
  9. Before serving, sprinkle mini marshmallows and optional toppings on top. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Best served chilled. Can be made a day in advance for best flavor.
