  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2/3 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2.5 sticks Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Food Coloring (red and green)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat butter, powdered sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough into two equal parts. Color one part red and the other green.
  6. Roll out each dough separately, then layer them together.
  7. Tightly roll into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 2 hours.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the dough into 1/4-inch rounds.
  9. Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  10. Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
