Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

A delightful banana bread with swirls of cinnamon sugar, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 4×8 inch loaf pan by greasing it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
  3. Add baking soda and a pinch of salt to the banana mixture.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Add the flour and mix until just incorporated.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the greased loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over it.
  8. Pour in the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  9. Use a knife to swirl the batter gently.
  10. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a special touch, serve with cream cheese or a scoop of ice cream.
