Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

A delightful treat that combines ripe bananas with warm cinnamon, making a flavorful, soft, and moist bread perfect for any time of day.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  8. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  9. Use a knife to swirl the batter.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with butter, cream cheese, or your favorite jam. Freeze for up to 3 months for later enjoyment.
