Vanilla Coffee Creamer

A rich and creamy vanilla coffee creamer that’s easy to make at home, allowing for customization and savings compared to store-bought options.

  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup half-and-half cream, 2% milk, or heavy whipping cream
  • Dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape the seeds from the center.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the vanilla bean, scraped seeds, sweetened condensed milk, and your choice of cream.
  3. Place the saucepan on medium heat and stir for 5-7 minutes until heated through, without boiling.
  4. Remove from heat, cover, and let it rest for 15 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Discard the vanilla bean and pour the creamer into an airtight container.
  6. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, stirring before use.

Notes

You can customize the sweetness or creaminess by adjusting the amount of sweetened condensed milk or cream used. This recipe can also be frozen for longer storage.
