Cold Witches Brew Coffee

A fun and festive cold brew coffee drink perfect for Halloween or cozy fall days, blending rich coffee flavors with pumpkin pie spices.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (120mL) cold brew coffee concentrate
  • ½ cup (120mL) water
  • ½ tablespoon (8 mL) maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla paste or vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons (30mL) heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons (30mL) milk (any)
  • ½ to 1 tablespoon (8-15mL) additional maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Orange gel food coloring (optional)
  • Halloween sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. If you don’t have cold brew coffee concentrate, steep coarsely ground coffee beans in cold water for 12-24 hours, then strain.
  2. In a small pitcher, combine the cold brew concentrate with ½ cup of water.
  3. Add ½ tablespoon of maple syrup and ½ teaspoon of vanilla paste (or extract) to the coffee mixture and stir well.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix heavy whipping cream, milk, and the remaining maple syrup. Add the rest of the vanilla extract and pumpkin pie spice, then whip until frothy.
  5. Add a few drops of orange gel food coloring to the foam if desired, and fold gently.
  6. Pour the cold brew coffee into a glass filled with ice and layer the cold foam on top. Sprinkle Halloween sprinkles for decoration.

Notes

For presentation, serve in clear glass cups and consider decorating the rims with frosting and sprinkles.
