Copycat Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

A cozy homemade version of the popular Pumpkin Spice Latte, perfect for fall cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
  • 1 shot espresso (or strong brewed coffee)
  • 0.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (white, brown, or coconut)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice to create a syrup.
  2. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. In a separate pot, brew espresso (or strong coffee).
  4. Pour the brewed espresso into a mug.
  5. Add the pumpkin syrup to the mug.
  6. Heat the milk until warm, then froth if desired.
  7. Pour the frothed milk into the mug with the espresso and pumpkin syrup.
  8. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle additional pumpkin pie spice on top.

Notes

You can make the pumpkin spice syrup ahead and store it in the fridge for a week. Feel free to experiment with different milks for a dairy-free version.
