Cotton Candy Cookies

Delightful soft cookies infused with the whimsical flavor of cotton candy, perfect for parties and family gatherings.

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cotton candy, chopped
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped cotton candy.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, and sprinkle with additional cotton candy or sprinkles if desired.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using different cotton candy varieties or mixing in chocolate chips.
