Cranberry Little Smokies

A warm, sweet, and tangy snack perfect for parties, made with little smokies, cranberry sauce, and barbecue sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages (14 oz each) lil smokies sausages
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (canned jellied or whole-berry, or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Place the lil smokies sausages into the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the cranberry mixture over the sausages, stirring gently to coat all the lil smokies evenly in the sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 120-180 minutes or on HIGH for 60-90 minutes, until the lil smokies are heated through and the sauce is hot and slightly thickened.
  5. Give everything a gentle stir, then taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl or platter, garnishing with chopped fresh parsley.
  7. Serve warm with toothpicks.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or hot sauce. For a smokier flavor, use a smoky barbecue sauce.
