Cranberry Pecan Baked Brie in Pastry

A delightful dish combining creamy brie cheese, sweet cranberry sauce, and crunchy pecans, wrapped in flaky puff pastry. Perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 wheel brie (79 oz, double cream preferred)
  • 1/3 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it is slightly larger.
  3. Place the brie wheel in the center of the pastry.
  4. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the top of the brie.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  6. Fold the pastry around the brie, trimming excess dough if necessary, and pinch to seal.
  7. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired, and serve with crackers or toasted bread.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Can be frozen before baking for up to three months.
