Creamy Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes with Chives

  • 1 cup warm milk (adjust to your liking)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons chives (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Boil the Potatoes: Place potatoes in a pot, cover with water, and boil until fork-tender (about 10 minutes).
  3. Drain the Potatoes: Drain well in a colander and return to the hot pot.
  4. Add Ingredients: Mix in warm milk, sour cream, butter, and chopped chives.
  5. Mash the Potatoes: Use a masher or fork to mash until smooth, adjusting milk for desired consistency.
  6. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with extra chives and serve warm.
