Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona Coffee, also known as Whipped Coffee, is a creamy and rich drink made by whipping sugar, instant coffee, and hot water until fluffy, then serving it over milk.

  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • Instant coffee granules (for garnish)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot water, sugar, and instant coffee powder until frothy.
  2. Whisk the mixture using a hand whisk, electric whisk, or immersion blender until it becomes light and fluffy, about 2 to 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the milk into a glass, using regular or any plant-based milk you prefer.
  4. Spoon the frothy coffee mixture on top of the milk carefully to keep the layers separate.
  5. Sprinkle with instant coffee granules or chocolate shavings, and optionally add whipped cream on top.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute milk with almond, coconut, or oat milk. Stir before drinking to mix.
