Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 big scoops chocolate ice cream (about 2 packed cups)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup cold whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of fine salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon malted milk powder
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, shaved chocolate, mini chips, sprinkles, or a cherry

Instructions

  1. Chill your glasses for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Let the ice cream sit at room temp for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup milk into the blender. Add the chocolate syrup, cocoa, vanilla, and salt. Blend for 5 seconds to combine.
  4. Add the ice cream and malted milk powder if using. Pulse a few times, then blend on low just until smooth and creamy.
  5. Check the thickness. If too thick, add more milk. If too thin, add more ice cream and pulse again.
