Homemade Cookies

Deliciously soft and chewy homemade cookies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (or any mix-ins you prefer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; whisk until well-mixed.
  4. In another large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips or preferred mix-ins.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months.
