Bomba Dessert

Experience a luxurious Italian dessert, the Bomba, featuring layers of gelato encased in a hard chocolate shell for an exquisite treat.

  • 1 pint of your favorite gelato or ice cream
  • 1 cup of high-quality dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • Optional: Sponge cake or ladyfingers
  • Optional: Fresh fruit, nuts, or other fillings for added texture and flavor

Instructions

  1. Soften gelato or ice cream slightly and layer it into a dome-shaped mold, pressing down to remove air pockets.
  2. Freeze the mold for at least 240 minutes until firm.
  3. Melt dark chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth and let cool slightly.
  4. Remove frozen gelato from the mold and place it on a wire rack. Pour melted chocolate over to coat completely.
  5. Freeze the coated Bomba dessert for another 60 minutes until set.
  6. Garnish with fresh fruit or a drizzle of sauce before serving.

Notes

Ensure the gelato layers are fully frozen before adding the chocolate shell to maintain shape.
