Easy Breakfast Cheese Danish

A delightful morning treat featuring flaky crescent rolls and a creamy cheese filling, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 cans ready-to-use refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 8-ounce packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your 13×9-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Unroll one can of crescent rolls and lay in the pan, pinching openings together to form a layer.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll layer.
  6. Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and lay over the cream cheese mixture, pressing down lightly.
  7. Beat the egg white and brush it over the top layer of crescent rolls.
  8. Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for 20 minutes, then mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create glaze and drizzle over the Danish before serving.

Notes
