Easy Chick Cookies

Fun and simple chick-shaped cookies that are perfect for Spring, Easter, or any cheerful occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Yellow icing or candy melts (for decoration)
  • Candy eyes (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until well combined.
  5. Roll dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Flatten each ball slightly.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let cool completely.
  9. Decorate with yellow icing or melted candy to make chick shapes and add candy eyes.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
