Easy Rice Krispie Baskets

Delicious, quick-to-make Rice Krispie baskets perfect for filling with candies and treats for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 5 cups marshmallows
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Jelly beans
  • Chocolate eggs
  • Candy coated chocolate eggs
  • 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional)
  • 24 drops food coloring (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp water

Instructions

  1. Get out and measure your ingredients.
  2. Prepare a muffin pan with butter or cooking spray. Set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt butter over LOW heat.
  4. Add marshmallows, stirring at low heat until completely melted.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add Rice Krispies cereal and gently stir until well coated.
  7. Divide and press mixture into individual muffin cups, creating baskets as deep or shallow as desired.
  8. Cool and remove from muffin pans.
  9. Fill cooled nests with colored, shredded coconut, melted chocolate, jelly beans, or chocolate eggs.
  10. Enjoy every bite!

Best served the same day for optimal taste and texture. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
