Elf’s Campfire S’mores Cocoa

A rich, creamy hot cocoa inspired by the classic campfire treat, s’mores. Perfect for warming up on chilly winter nights.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or cocoa powder)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (plus extra for topping)
  • Chocolate syrup or melted chocolate (for drizzling)
  • Crushed graham crackers (for rimming the glass)
  • Chocolate shavings or chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, warm the milk and heavy cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  2. Whisk in chocolate chips (or cocoa powder) and sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  3. Rim mugs with chocolate syrup and dip into crushed graham crackers.
  4. Pour hot cocoa into prepared mugs. Top with mini marshmallows and extra graham cracker crumbs. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and add a few more marshmallows.
  5. Optional: Lightly toast the marshmallows with a kitchen torch for an authentic campfire feel. Finish with chocolate shavings or extra graham crumbs.

Notes

This drink is customizable with spices or different types of chocolate. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
