Lemon Ginger Morning Detox Shot

A rejuvenating morning shot combining fresh lemon juice and ginger to wake you up and kickstart your day.

Ingredients

  • 1 large lemon (freshly squeezed)
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger (grated or minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon filtered water

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the juice from the lemon directly into a glass.
  2. Peel and grate the ginger.
  3. Mix the lemon juice and grated ginger together.
  4. Add filtered water to dilute slightly.
  5. Add honey to taste, adjusting as desired.
  6. If desired, sprinkle a dash of cayenne pepper.
  7. Stir well and enjoy your detox shot.

Notes

For additional flavor, feel free to experiment with a splash of orange juice or turmeric powder. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2-3 days, adding honey just before drinking for best results.
