Fig Mocktails with Apple

A delightful blend of sweet and tangy flavors with ripe figs and crisp apple cider, perfect for any gathering or for a special treat at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe fresh fig (plus extra for optional garnish)
  • 0.5 tablespoon fig jam (optional)
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 0.5 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 0.5 oz cinnamon syrup (or a pinch of cinnamon powder)

Instructions

  1. Slice the ripe fig into quarters to make it easier to mash.
  2. Place the fig pieces into your cocktail shaker.
  3. Add the cinnamon syrup, fig jam (if using), and lemon juice to the shaker.
  4. Use a muddler or a spoon to press down on the fig pieces, mashing them well (about 15-20 presses).
  5. Add the grated ginger and apple cider to the shaker.
  6. Fill the shaker with ice and put the lid on securely.
  7. Shake well until combined and chilled.
  8. Strain the drink into your glass and garnish with a piece of fresh fig if desired.

Notes

Pairs well with light snacks, cheese platters, and fresh fruit. Serve chilled or over ice. Prepare in advance by preparing ingredients but mix just before serving for best flavor.
