Fluffy Cheesy Mashed Potato Puffs

Delicious puffs made from fluffy mashed potatoes and cheese, perfect as a snack or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (for coating)
  • Oil for frying (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil for frying.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, cheese, milk, melted butter, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls or puffs.
  4. Roll each puff in breadcrumbs to coat.
  5. Place on a baking sheet if baking, or carefully place in hot oil if frying.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown, or fry until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Great for using leftover mashed potatoes and can be customized with various cheeses or herbs.
