Frozen Sleigh Ride Cocoa

A rich and creamy cocoa with a twist of mint and a frosty blue color, perfect for winter gatherings.

  • 2 cups whole milk (or your preferred milk)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Blue food coloring
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Edible silver sprinkles or blue sugar crystals
  • Optional: Snowflake-shaped marshmallows

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream over medium heat. Heat until steaming but not boiling.
  2. Add the white chocolate chips, stirring constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and peppermint extract for that frosty, minty undertone.
  4. Add 2-3 drops of blue food coloring and mix until the cocoa turns a frosty blue hue. Adjust the color as desired.
  5. Pour the cocoa into mugs.
  6. Top each mug with a swirl of whipped cream. Sprinkle with edible silver sprinkles or blue sugar crystals for a shimmering icy effect.
  7. Optional: Add snowflake-shaped marshmallows or a candy cane stir stick for extra flair.
  8. Sip this magical drink as you imagine gliding across snowy landscapes on a sleigh ride under the stars.
