Garbage Bread

A fun and delicious dish that combines your favorite ingredients in a warm, cheesy wrap. Perfect for family dinners, parties, or quick meals.

  • 1 loaf of bread (French or Italian)
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of bread in half horizontally and hollow out some of the bread inside to make room for the filling.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the pepperoni, mozzarella, sausage, bell peppers, olives, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, melted butter, and garlic powder.
  4. Fill the hollowed-out bread with the mixture evenly.
  5. Place the top half of the bread back on and wrap the loaf in aluminum foil.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Can be customized with different fillings or used as a hearty side dish.
