Ingredients

  • 1 shot espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)
  • ½ cup steamed milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tbsp gingerbread syrup (or homemade mix below)
  • 1 tsp orange zest (plus extra for garnish)
  • Sweetener to taste (honey, maple syrup, or sugar, optional)

Homemade Gingerbread Syrup:

  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp hot water

Instructions

  1. Brew a shot of espresso or ½ cup of strong coffee. Stir in gingerbread syrup.
  2. Steam or froth ½ cup of milk with 1 tsp orange zest.
  3. Pour steamed milk over coffee and stir gently.
  4. Garnish with extra orange zest and a dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg.
  5. Optional: Add whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel for extra indulgence.

Notes

Adjust spice levels to taste. Try different milks like oat or almond for a unique twist. Make it iced by chilling the espresso and using cold frothed milk.
