Gingerbread Spiced Mocha

A warm and comforting drink combining the rich flavors of espresso and cocoa with ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot espresso (or 1/3 cup strong brewed coffee)
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar (or sweetener of choice)
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)
  • Gingerbread cookie or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew the espresso and pour it into your favorite holiday mug.
  2. Heat the milk until steaming in a small saucepan over low heat. Do not let it boil.
  3. Whisk the cocoa powder, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the steaming milk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Slowly pour the spiced chocolate milk over the brewed espresso in the mug.
  5. Top with whipped cream for an indulgent touch if desired.
  6. Garnish with a small gingerbread cookie or a sprinkle of chocolate shavings for a festive finish.
