Gingerbread Syrup for Coffee

A delightful gingerbread syrup that adds a warm and inviting flavor to your coffee, reminiscent of cozy winter days.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, add the brown sugar, water, molasses, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Use a whisk to mix until well combined.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Once dissolved, remove the saucepan from heat.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Allow the syrup to cool for 15 minutes at room temperature.
  6. Transfer the syrup to a bottle or jar. Store it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
