Hard Cider Sangria

A refreshing drink combining hard apple cider with fruity flavors of wine and fresh fruits, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 bottles (12 oz each) hard apple cider (dry or semi-sweet)
  • 1 cup white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • Ice (for serving)
  • Sparkling water or club soda (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the apple, pear, and orange, removing any seeds.
  2. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the white wine, brandy, and orange liqueur.
  3. Add the sliced fruit and the cinnamon stick into the mixture.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 120 minutes, or best, overnight.
  5. Before serving, pour in the hard apple cider and stir gently to combine.
  6. If desired, add the maple syrup or honey for sweetness.
  7. Fill glasses with ice and ladle in the sangria mixture.
  8. Top off the drinks with sparkling water or club soda if desired.
  9. Garnish each glass with a slice of soaked fruit.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Best served fresh and cold. Can be prepared in advance without adding the cider until just before serving.
