Homemade Chocolate Hearts

Delightful homemade chocolate hearts that are rich, creamy, and customizable with various flavors and toppings.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) cacao butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1015 drops liquid stevia (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 chili pepper
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon rose petals

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, gently melt the cocoa butter and cocoa powder over medium heat.
  2. Add cinnamon, chili pepper, and liquid stevia, mixing well until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  4. Place heart-shaped forms onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Pour the semi-liquid mixture into the molds. Silicone molds can also be used.
  6. Let it harden for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Use a wooden stick to create uneven surfaces on the hearts.
  8. Sprinkle rose petals on top and press them in slightly with the wood stick.
  9. Allow it to harden at room temperature for several hours, or place in the refrigerator if you’re in a hurry.
  10. Once hardened, remove from molds. Store at room temperature or refrigerated for up to 1 month, or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

Try different flavors by adding extracts or spices and adjusting sweetness with stevia.
