Honey-Pear & Walnut Wreath Tart

A delightful tart featuring sweet honey, juicy pears, and crunchy walnuts, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, about 9×12′’)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 tsp sugar (optional for extra crisp edges)
  • 2 medium firm pears (Bosc or Bartlett), thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 3/4 cup walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to fit a baking sheet.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut the pastry into a wreath shape, creating a smaller circle in the center.
  4. Move the pastry to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  6. Arrange the thinly sliced pears evenly over the pastry.
  7. Sprinkle dried cranberries and toasted walnuts on top of the pears.
  8. Bake the tart for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  9. Drizzle warm honey over the tart immediately after baking.
  10. Let the tart cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
