Horchata Cold Brew

A refreshing drink that combines horchata and cold brew coffee, perfect for hot days or as an afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Homemade Horchata Syrup
  • 10 ounces unsweetened black cold brew
  • Ice
  • Ground cinnamon for topping
  • 1 tablespoon Homemade Horchata Syrup for the cold foam
  • 2 tablespoons 2 percent milk for the cold foam
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream for the cold foam

Instructions

  1. In a small glass, combine 1 tablespoon of horchata syrup, 2 percent milk, and heavy cream.
  2. Use a handheld milk frother to froth the mixture until it becomes thick and creamy, about 15 to 30 seconds. Set aside the Horchata Cold Foam.
  3. In a separate cup, add the remaining horchata syrup, cold brew, and ice, leaving some room at the top for the cold foam.
  4. Stir the drink to combine the flavors well.
  5. Top the drink with the prepared Horchata Cold Foam and add a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, swap the 2 percent milk for barista-style oat milk and heavy cream for soy milk.
