Hot Chocolate with the Scent of Christmas Candy Cane

A warm and creamy hot chocolate infused with refreshing candy cane flavor, perfect for the holiday season.

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of crushed candy canes (plus extra for garnish)
  • A pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk over medium heat. Be careful not to boil it.
  2. Once the milk is warm, whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until fully dissolved.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, crushed candy canes, and a pinch of salt. Stir until mixed well.
  4. Continue stirring and heat the mixture until it is hot but not boiling.
  5. If desired, strain the mixture into your serving mug to remove candy cane pieces.
  6. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle extra crushed candy canes on top for a festive touch.

Notes

This drink is easy to customize with additional toppings like marshmallows or additional peppermint.
