Hot Whiskey Lemonade

A warm and comforting drink combining the tangy taste of lemon and the smooth flavor of whiskey, perfect for cold nights.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons whiskey or bourbon
  • 23 drops aromatic bitters
  • 23 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves (optional for garnish)
  • Slice lemon (optional)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • 1 star anise (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling water in a kettle or pot to create 1/2 cup of boiling water.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup of boiling water into your heat-resistant mug.
  3. Squeeze fresh lemon juice and add it to the mug.
  4. Measure and pour 4 tablespoons of whiskey or bourbon into the mug.
  5. Add 2-3 drops of aromatic bitters for a touch of flavor.
  6. Spoon in 2-3 teaspoons of honey. Stir well until the honey is completely dissolved.
  7. If you’re using whole cloves, poke them into the peel of a thick slice of lemon.
  8. Drop the lemon slice with cloves into the mug.
  9. If you like, add a cinnamon stick or star anise for added spice.
  10. Your Hot Whiskey Lemonade is now ready to enjoy!

Notes

Hot Whiskey Lemonade is best served warm. Garnish with a lemon slice, a cinnamon stick, or a whole clove for decoration. Can be enjoyed fresh or stored in the refrigerator for up to one day.
