Moist Jiffy Cornbread

A quick and easy recipe for Jiffy cornbread that transforms traditional methods into a moist, tender side dish.

  • 1 box Jiffy Cornbread Mix
  • 1 extra egg
  • 1 cup milk (substituting for water)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or unsweetened applesauce
  • Optional: shredded cheese, corn kernels, jalapeños, bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Jiffy Cornbread Mix, milk, and the extra egg.
  3. Add melted butter or applesauce and mix until just combined, leaving a few lumps.
  4. If desired, fold in additional ingredients such as cheese or corn.
  5. Allow the batter to rest for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Grease your baking pan and pour in the batter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added richness, brush warm cornbread with melted garlic butter before serving.
