Spruce Tips Tincture

A delightful tincture made from fresh spruce tips, capturing the essence of nature for health benefits throughout the year.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spruce tips
  • 300 ml alcohol (40 percent, like vodka or brandy)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey

Instructions

  1. Gather two cups of bright green spruce tips, wash them thoroughly, and dry them on parchment paper.
  2. Place the spruce tips in a sterilized glass jar and pour over alcohol until they are submerged.
  3. Add one tablespoon of raw honey and mix well with a clean spoon.
  4. Cover the jar with a plastic lid or parchment paper and seal tightly.
  5. Store in a dark, cool place, shaking gently from time to time.
  6. After 4 to 6 weeks, strain out the spruce tips using a strainer or cheesecloth.
  7. Label the jars with the name, date, and alcohol percentage used.

Notes

Store tincture in a cool, dark place for optimal flavor and potency. Use within 1 to 2 years. Freezing is not recommended.
