Immune Boosting Tea

A soothing tea packed with echinacea, elderberries, and ginger to help support your body’s defenses.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried echinacea root
  • 1 tablespoon dried elderberries
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosehips
  • 1 teaspoon dried ginger root or 1 tablespoon fresh ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon dried turmeric root or 1 tablespoon fresh turmeric root
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 cups of water
  • Honey or lemon to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients into a saucepan.
  2. Add 5 cups of water to the ingredients.
  3. Slowly heat the mixture on the stove until it begins to boil.
  4. Once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to its lowest setting.
  5. Let the mixture steep for 20 minutes or longer to infuse the flavors.
  6. Strain the herbal material using a strainer or cheesecloth.
  7. Pour the warm tea into your cup or mug.
  8. Enjoy every sip slowly. You can add honey or lemon to taste for extra flavor.

Notes

For a fruity twist, add slices of fresh apple or pear. Enjoy iced by refrigerating and serving over ice on warm days.
